Jerry Kuhn

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns shaped by stress, loss, or past experiences, you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with appear capable and high-functioning on the outside, yet feel exhausted, on edge, or emotionally disconnected on the inside. I see therapy as a place where you can slow down, breathe, and begin feeling more like yourself again.

I offer a calm, trauma-informed space where therapy moves at your pace and focuses on helping you feel safer and more grounded,  and more confident in your daily life.

My approach is gentle, practical, and collaborative. Rather than pushing or rushing the process, I work with you to focus on what feels manageable and meaningful.

My work centers on anxiety, trauma-related stress, grief, and life transitions.

Anxiety can show up as constant worry, racing thoughts, difficulty relaxing, or feeling unsettled even when life looks “fine” on the surface. Trauma and chronic stress can leave your nervous system stuck in survival mode. Life transitions – whether expected or sudden – can disrupt your sense of stability and direction.

Therapy offers space to make sense of these experiences and move forward with clarity and steadiness.

In our sessions, we often focus on nervous-system regulation, grounding skills, and practical tools you can use in everyday moments of stress or emotional overwhelm.

Healing does not require reliving painful experiences before you’re ready. Instead, we build safety, awareness, and coping skills that support meaningful, lasting change over time.

I provide in-person therapy at Lemon Bay Mental Wellness Center in Englewood, Florida, and secure Telehealth therapy for adults in both Florida and Tennessee. Sessions are respectful, judgment-free, and centered on helping you feel supported and understood.

You’re not broken – you’re human. Reaching out for support is a meaningful step, and it’s okay to move at your own pace. When you’re ready, I invited you to connect for a free 15-20 minute consultation so we can talk about what you’re experiencing and see if working together feels right.
