Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is an important part of developing as a therapist. It’s a space to build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and work through the challenges that come with real-world practice.

At Lemon Bay Mental Wellness Center, we provide structured, practical clinical supervision for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns and Registered Social Worker Interns. Our approach is direct, supportive, and focused on helping you grow into a confident, competent clinician—not just meet requirements.

Supervision is provided by Jerry Kuhn, LMHC, LPC-MHSP for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns and Brittany Baumhardt, LCSW for Registered Social Worker Interns.

What We Focus On in Supervision

Supervision should be more than a formality. It should help you think critically, develop your clinical voice, and feel more prepared in your work with clients.

Areas we focus on in supervision include:

  • Case conceptualization and treatment planning
  • Developing clinical judgment and decision-making
  • Managing challenging cases and situations
  • Ethical considerations and professional boundaries
  • Building confidence and clinical identity
  • Practical skills you can apply in session

Supervision is collaborative and structured. You’ll have space to ask questions, process cases, and receive clear, honest feedback that helps you grow.

Our approach is direct and focused on real development. We won’t overcomplicate the process, but we also won’t let you stay stuck. The goal is to help you become a more effective, confident clinician while meeting licensure requirements.
