About Lemon Bay Mental Wellness Center

Compassionate Counseling for Life's Challenges

At Lemon Bay Mental Wellness Center, we believe counseling should feel personal, supportive, and focused on helping you create meaningful change.

Life can be difficult. Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, and major life transitions can leave even the strongest people feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next.

Our team provides a safe, welcoming environment where clients can better understand what they are experiencing, develop healthier ways of coping, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

Whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply feel like life has become harder than it needs to be, you don't have to face it alone.

Why People Choose Lemon Bay Mental Wellness Center

Many people come to counseling after spending months—or even years—trying to handle everything on their own.

They've been taking care of their families, managing responsibilities, showing up for work, and doing what needs to be done. From the outside, they often appear to have everything together.

Inside, they may be struggling with anxiety, stress, self-doubt, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, or the feeling that they have lost themselves somewhere along the way.

Our therapists provide practical, compassionate support designed to help clients better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and create lasting change.

We believe therapy isn't about fixing what's broken. It's about helping people reconnect with their strengths, develop new skills, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.

Our Approach

Every person who walks through our doors brings a unique story, which is why we believe counseling should never be one-size-fits-all.

Our therapists utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, solution-focused counseling, trauma-informed care, and other proven therapeutic techniques.

Most importantly, we focus on building genuine relationships with our clients because meaningful change happens when people feel heard, understood, and supported.

Rooted in Service

Lemon Bay Mental Wellness Center was founded by Jerry Kuhn, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Navy veteran, and former corporate leader who has spent his career helping people navigate challenges, transitions, and personal growth.

That commitment to service continues to guide our practice today.

Our team is dedicated to providing professional, compassionate care for individuals, couples, families, veterans, older adults, and adolescents throughout Englewood, Venice, Port Charlotte, North Port, Rotonda West, Placida, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities.

Each member of our team brings unique experience, training, and perspective to the counseling process. We invite you to learn more about our therapists and find the provider who feels like the right fit for your needs.
